    Euro Mount Help

Was given a few nice deer heads that have been sitting in an old barn for years. They still have the hide in them. What's the best way to Euro mount these? I was thinking maceration would rehydrate the hide and the bugs would start eating. Will this work?

    Thanks.

I had one like that a few years ago. I simply pulled the hide and then put it in a bucket of water. After that just did the normal stuff and it came out ok.

I would macerate them. It will take a while to rehydrate the hide but it will work once the bacteria get busy!

But them in a ant hill for a week or so and a little scrubbing amd they'll be nice and clean than put them in hydrogen peroxide

Whatever you do I would not recommend mastication[emoji6] Maceration would be much better.
