    Solar panel question

At the camp I am currently using a trolling motor battery to power a small tv and dvd player. I am trying to get away from hauling the battery back and forth to the house to charge it. It is hooked up to a 410 watt inverter. My question is can this be connected to a 12 volt feeder charger. I don't want it to overcharge the battery while we are away during the week. I'm not going to spend a lot on this setup because its not that big of an issue to take it home and charge it. Just trying to cut down on items carried back and forth.I tried doing a search on here but didn't find the answer. Thanks

Probably can buy a trickle charger panel. I have one for my Polaris and one for my Jeep Scrambler. I've seen neighbors use them on water toys in winter also.

You need a charge controller. https://www.amazon.com/Regulator-Con...rge+controller

Check out http://www.solar1234.com/ for more info on solar system setup.

Get a 12Vdc solar panel, if it is a 50 watt, it makes about 3 amps per hour of direct unobstructed sunlight. So, use a regulator(mount regulator next to battery) that is over 3 amps and for 12Vdc. Your battery will only receive amps if needed and when fully charged, no more amps go to battery. Very easy to set up.
With above, you will make about 12-15 amp hours per day which will just about charge up a 100 Amp Hour battery in 5-6 days.

Thanks for the information. Was hoping a regular feeder charger would work but I guess not.
