Doesn't look good. Good placement however his leg needed to be forward. Tough one. I'm afraid the outcome won't be good on this one. Hope I'm wrong.

Bone that deer will live along time. Axis are tough as hell if you have blood back out and give it time. I shot a axis buck in that same spot with a 7mm-08 and killed him the next morning.
