      3.5, if theres a chance he would be shot by another hunter i would try to get him. If there isnt much pressure i would give him another year.

              Without know location, poor pictures for aging, etc... I would guess 3.5 with a MAX of 4.5 with poor range conditions

                He's a Hays County deer. I had him at 3 when I passed on him a little over a week ago. Then my dad shows me a photo of a deer that he says was mature and may be a shooter for someone. Yep, same deer. We debated back and forth on this on. I told him to get new glasses and let the dang deer walk. He won't shoot him, but I was worried that he would let someone else drop him. He agreed this morning to let him go.

                            I agree with the 3.5 max. Could be fooled by the angle but from what I can tell straight back, not too much development in the shoulders, and no roman nose or the "squinty eye" look that most mature deer seem to get.
