Sounds like my set up should be in the ball park according to the comments. I'm running a 70# PSE carbon air and 540 grain arrow. It's a 30" long gold tip hunter with a 100 grain brass insert and 125 grain helix single bevel. Add on a few frains for fletching and Nocturnal and it puts me at 540. I spent some time and made sure everything was in tune and have them hitting dead on with my field points to 50 yards. I went pig hunting to test one out and shot a medium boar. About 160 lbs. it broke both of his front shoulders and stuck in the ground ten yards behind him. I was impressed by them. Sounded like a gun shot when the arrow hit him.

Thank you. I figured that it's a tough hunt and I'd hate to get into bow range and take a shot with equipment that wasn't capable of doing its part.

Interesting set-ups. I did not know that you could get performance cams above factory sets, and even more interesting is that the arrows suggested is very similar to what we used in traditional bows... Minus a lot of spine, but still the same concept. Heavy arrow, Lots of FOC and most prefer 2 blade single bevel for max penetration.
Good Thread and good luck to you.
