    This ought to be interesting.

I was informed yesterday that my granddaughter is having 6 of her friends over Saturday for a sleep over. A house full of 10yr old girls ought to be exciting. I'm going to borrow my neighbors portable fire pit and if the weather is OK, I feel smores are on the menu. Think I'll dig out some coat hangers and teach them the fine art of cooking hot dogs over a fire too. Keep me in your prayers please.

Actually I think it will really be fun.

Prayers up Sir. Great idea with the cooking out over a fire... Nothing like having the kiddos in the outdoor.

I figure it will probably be one of the highlites of their lives. These kids in the city just don't get to do things like this.

Raised three daughters had many many sleep overs. Great idea on fire and smores. Have some stories ready to tell them around the fire, girls love scary stories, just end them in a funny way to lighten the mood. So much fun, my youngest is 22 so for now that's over but had a blast!!

Use a rake to cook all the dogs at once. Saves a ton of time and wasted food dropped into the fire. Oh and wear at least one ear plug at all times cause girls live to scream!

I feel your pain.... Daughter turned 13 in August. We had her + 7 friends for a sleepover. Man, those girls were LOUD !!! Ended up doing a scavenger hunt, dinner, cake, and the "good Ol Dad" retired to the master bedroom to watch some TV and sleep !!! I left mom to handle the rest of the evening.
The next morning, none of them slept in beds. All scattered on the floor around the kids common area (upstairs has a large living room area for the kids). They were all sleeping next to power outlets with phones plugged in charging. I laughed and took pictures of them all by the power outlets. None of the Beds were even touched.

We live in the city so not much on the outdoor activities can be done. I do have a boom box for the back porch. The neighbors are going to love me. I'm real durn good at the Hokey Pokey, pretty good at the Macarena and can hang a while on the Nay Nay.
