Are you hunting a spin feeder? I quit trying to hunt feeders and instead move my blind downwind about 75 yards and try to draw deer to me from the feeder with a road feeder/hand corn. If you know the direction the bedding cover is from it helps a lot. I also try to put enough really thick cover downwind of me to help me and force the deer to move around my scent trail. I have one setup that is 300 yards from a spin/protein feeder that is in their travel corridor to/from the feeder. I have two other setup that are 35-40 yards from the feed pen but I can not see the pen. Both have great cover downwind and force the deer around my downwind side. Pull the deer to your setup and stay downwind from the feeder far enough and it will improve for you.
The last part of October is a great time to catch mature bucks moving and checking out territories around feeders. They are still packing in the groceries for the rut phase ahead. That is why I still feed protein.

Same here, I never see bigger bucks moving until after thanksgiving. Late November thru early December are usually my target times for big bucks. I have a good groups of does and some young bucks hanging around feeders. There is a lot of food right now as green as it is and they have water. No reason to be moving right now.
