We've all done it. I just shot a doe in the brisket this weekend and hate it. I don't go out to wound deer, I go out to kill them and hope that it is quick and humane. I bet the guy is hating himself for not making a perfect shot.

What would you say to them ? I've been hunting for over 30 years. I've made one lousy shot with a gun and a handful with a bow. I won't be the one to throw that first stone.

Wasn't throwing stone. Just curious if they know em. Many times in past I've found myself I've had things happen and thought it was neighbors, while at same time they thought it was us. Turned out to be someone else and once we talked were able to work together to get it stopped. This was more around trespassing issues though.

Hornaday Vmax will blow up on the skin like that. Especially from a 222, 223, 22-250, 243.
Probably shot with a Bowtech or Hoyt though.

Looks like a Mathews shot to me... Hard to tell from the angle... Can't rule out Hoyt, but I can for sure rule out Bowtech!
