    Matthews Safari

Anyone ever shot the Matthews Safari? Have a chance to get my hands on one at a great price but don't know a ton about them. What are yall's thoughts?

Never shot one. But after getting my first new bow this year and being without a bow for the last 10+ years I can tell you that I'd like to have a second bow with 80 lbs limbs so I can sling broom handles at them with heavy bradheads! Just because! Lol

They are fast and well made. Wood on the handle is a tree that is no longer alive. detailing of the riser is beautiful. draw is on the ruffer side. New they sold for 2500

I had one when I was in shape and younger it was set for 90lbs i believe. I was strong and in shape at the time again!! I could bench 400 at that time. Not bragging just letting you know. I could shoot that thing about 15 times and it got tuff to hold it steady. Thats why I too got it for a REALLY good price. It was my first bow. When i found out about 65 lbs doing the same thing killing stuff it was GONE!
That was many years ago. It would seperate my shoulder now !!!!

Mine was 85lbs. It drew fairly smooth, but it was no fun to let down. It's a heavy overall bow and really well made.
