    Shoot or pass

This evening I had a group of 5 hens within range, I passed because I can only shoot one turkey this season (State reg). I Would like to get a Tom but haven't seen one the last 3 days. I still have tomorrow to hunt. Good pass or not ?

I'd pass too---but then I have only shot one turkey and that had to be the nastiest cleaning job next to a cottontail I've ever done.

That 1 per calendar year? If your state renews licenses in Jan and you can kill a Tom in the spring I would shoot. If that's not the case, I would wait til spring

Not sure the case, but if you only get 1, I'd wait until next spring and call in a Tom. IMO, hunting doesn't get much more exciting than spring Turkey...especially with a bow.
              Good luck.

Spring season I missed, but spring is Tom only. Fall season is either sex.

Wild turkey hens are not worth the trouble in my opinion save your tag for a gobbler.
