    San Antonio ranges

Can anyone steer me to a range around SA that has a decent steel pistol set up? I am traveling from Austin to SA every other day and would like some extra practice during the week. Its been over 10 years sense I have been to a public range so I am kinda timid around other shooters.

Not sure on the steel side of things... but 'A Place to Shoot' on the south side has a solid pistol set up. Nardis Gun Club on I10 has a nice indoor facility as well.

Sorry, I just cant think of any that have steel setups.

The Bullet Hole used to have a steel set up but I think they got rid of it. Some dumb arse screwed it up for everyone else. They do have private bays that give you two hours to shoot all by yourself. I prefer this to shooting on a line with others.

X2 on the bullet hole. It's a good option as well.

I'll have to try that one myself some day. For rifle I like going to Bracken shooting range.

I like the fact that it's a little more laid back of a range, but that pistol range has a tendency to attract some people that shouldn't be allowed to look at a gun let alone shoot one.
It's open with no stalls and as a customer and shooter I shouldn't have to be placed in a position of policing the line.
The girl with her finger inside the trigger gaurd twirling her arm like a windmill and her boyfriend not saying a word to her was enough for me.
I quit going for that reason.
