    Whoops!

Well I was trying to be noble and go help a hutto neighbor this evening...

Her sink had come "unglued" from the counter top, as I was cleaning the glue and extra crap off of the sink I slipped with my freshly sharpened putty knife...

Yes I'm an idiot, and yes super glue works wonders... my wife, dad and everyone else think I need stitches... I say, why waste the money

Just soak it in bleach. You'll be fine

May be a nasty scar, but way cheaper than stitches

the question is....before that happened, was there a little voice that said, "hey, i probably should be wearing gloves....to late"

that little voice seems to be more prevalent as I get older. not sure it's wisdom or self-preservation

              haha

When using super glue pinch the wound shut, put on the super glue and hold it shut till it firms up. Old oilfield trick before it got wussified. Hardly leaves a scar at all unless it accidentally opens up again while racking kelly back in its chuck.

Yes. Duct tape for skin. Actually, duct tape works too.

I've been in construction my entire adult life... yes this is super glue, and it hasn't stopped bleeding enough for super glue to really work effectively

As long as no major damage was done to underlying tissues i believe glue or tape is the best option.

And seems like every good deed comes with a price to pay

I tried both... besides the extra hair on my chest, no change...

If it hasn't stopped bleeding by morning I'll go get stitches... don't bet on it though
