I have had an original Warthog for several years and it is my go-to sharpener. However I wanted something simpler for the kitchen - my wife chops vegetables like she is killing snakes which dulls them quickly and I absolutely hate a dull kitchen knife. I saw this Warthog product called The Curve and I bought one to try it out.
The good:
Using it is easy and foolproof. If your knife already has the correct edge angle all it takes is a few swipes along the guide and you will be slicing paper thin maters' once again
The not so good:
It puts a pretty course edge on your blade. You will want to use a steel afterwards if you want a fine and shiny edge. Also, it is not adjustable - pre set at 25 degrees which is fine for most knives.
I think it is perfect for keeping in a kitchen drawer or in your hunting box to use for a quick and easy touch up. The Warthog website has been running them on sale recently for $39
