    Cattle experts, one more time

    Okay, I need your advice.

I have a little heifer, I have had her for a couple of months and she has not gotten any bigger, in fact she looks very poor.

She has a bulge on her bottom jaw, mouth area.

Anybody have any idea what could be wrong with her?

Thinking of taking her to the vet, but my buddy is telling me not to waste money on such a poor animal and just write it off and wait to see what happens. Thanks for your help and advice,

    Mark

And I would also give it several doses of la300 which is kinda a multi purpose antibiotic. It would help fight any infections. And I would give it several doses of multi-min. Multi-min is just a vitamin. Deffentally give ivomec Asap

Had a doe that looked just like that last year.

Showed up at the feeder everyday with twins so guess it didn't bother her too much. We'll see shortly if she's still around.

All of the above but a shot of Ivomec would be my first action.

ivomec won't help. that's lumpy jaw. need to lance it and then drain it. flush with iodine. antibiotic also needed.

                    take her to a vet

Looks like a bad case of worms. She may have gotten into some acorns and caused her to get the lump under her jaw. May have to move her to another pasture to get her healed up. Best of luck.

She's wormy. Ivomec will do great things for her.
