    Let Talk Hogs

ok I am sure this has been discussed before but...
I have permission to hunt hogs on a place about fifteen minutes from school. We have feeders up that spitt corn at dusk and have pictures but the pictures show them coming in at very random times and not every day. another guy who hunts on the place has a "secret" sweet corn mix that he does and it brings them in most of the time. so I took a bucket and have dumped water, corn and sugar in it and have let it sit for a week. Last night I dumped some out by my stand were I had spead dry corn earlier for deer that morning. Well pigs came by but they did not seem to picky or care which corn they ate. They just ate what they found.
So after so long of a intro my question is do any of you guys know of any corn mixes or sour corn as the guy called it that really smell and attact pigs? I don't really want to go with the comercial stuff unless it really is outstanding. Thanks for your help

BLACK GOLD, Hog Wild, Corn and jello, and hog in heat!! All of these work well

You may try letting it sour longer. It seems that the worse it smells the better they like it.

I know several people on here swear by the Black Gold, but other than that, hogs will eat anything and ain't too picky about it.

Used Hog Wild this weekend and they tore the ground up for that stuff! Very impressed, and they came within 24 hours of us putting it out. I heard Strawberry Jello with corn works well. Heard from many different people.

More important than what you put out, is where you're putting it. Hogs are very nomadic as well as nocturnal by nature, so you may have them heavy for a couple of weeks and then not see any for months. You can help hold them in an area better by always having an abundant food and water source, but it's just their nature to wander and there's not alot you can do about that. We've had as good luck with corn as anything else. Good luck in bringing home the bacon!

We used to sour corn with beer but went to milk instead, to save beer. Anyway, stay upwind and don't get any on ya.
