Broken skull cap Bucks

My buddy has a broken skull cap buck on camera. Literally the antler is hanging under it's chin and you can see the base to the side of the head. It's not rutting so I am thinking it got hit by a car. He could be a good buck in 2 years

Do they ever heal rightly?

Anyone have year over year pics?

If his scull cap is broken with a damaged pedicle, I personally would take him out.

if it damaged the pedicle it will never grow normal in shape. Could come back as a cool looking freak! or may be a dud the rest of his life

yep if pedicle is damaged he could be a trash buck or a cool looking non typical. However if you know he's got good genes and a messed up pedicle (and doesn't' look good) I'd keep him around to pass around his genetics.
