    Question on turkeys

Ok on my lease I've had one picture of about 20 turkeys at my feeder and I thought awesome, thing is they never came back. Does anyone know how to try and draw in turkeys, any kind of specific food or minerals? Or do I just have to wait for them to come around on their own?

Where are you hunting, have y'all ever seen/heard turkeys before, how long have you been hunting that area?

They'll be back. Just keep throwing corn. Maybe throw some milo in your feeder, as well.

Never needed more than corn, but like most things they prefer greens and bugs over grain. As it gets colder they will become more regular

I always throw in a bag and a half of henscratch in with our corn to feed our turkeys. They like the milo but also the other grains and cracked corn as well. BTW, I ordered my 60X string this morning!

They will be back. They are roosting within a couple of miles of you and can cover a lot of ground. They will split up into smaller groups in the spring so you may see fewer of them at a time but more frequently in the spring. If things are as green on your place as most of the state, they aren't relying much on corn feeders these days.

We picked up the place in the summer and the owner told us there were turkeys on the land. Since then it's only been the one picture way back in June and they haven't came back. Thing is I see them crossing a field about a 1/2 mile away all the time, I don't know why they never reach my place.

Your place just might not be in there "home range". Turkeys are pretty territorial and each flock has there own "home turf". That turf may be a pretty large area and they will travel all throughout their area but seldom leave it. If you keep your feeders going and have water source near by, they should continue to pass through from time to time, but sounds like you may be on the outside edge of their pattern so you probably wont see them very often.
