    Ezgo golf cart question

Ok guys I have a 2000 EZGO TXT.
    500 amp controller
    48 volts
    All connections are tight
    Pack voltage is 50.1

I'm losing power quickly and suspect the batteries, they are 5 years old. I hook a voltmeter up to the pack while driving and it drops to 44 volts while driving. Does anybody know what it should drop to if the batteries are good?

    Thanks

Don't know the exact answer to your question, but from personal experience batteries that are over 4 years old typically are no longer going to hold a good charge and need replaced. I never had a set of batteries last over four years.

My last set was 5 years old and started doing that. Soon I couldn't get but a couple miles before they were dying fast.

Would need a load tester to be 100% but at 44volts thats only 11volts per battery. I work on 48 volt dc systems we change them at 11.3 per battery

46-48 volts under load ideally is the low end. They should run 52+ volts when fully charged.

Put 8 new Trojan T-105's in it today and added the one point watering system. Anxious to see what the voltage is while running now. I took it for a short spin and it was between 47-48. I brought it back and put it on to fully charge the new pack.
