What type of deer is this?

Can anyone explain/identify this deer? These pics were taken in Dripping Springs (outside of Austin) in a somewhat residential area. Defin a whitetail but the color is really interesting...beautiful animal.

We have several doe on my lease just a short distance from drippin.
Been around for many years but i still have not see a buck

Yep. I've seen a doe around Austin, but never a buck.

Melanistic whitetail. Travis, Hays, Caldwell, Williamson, and maybe Blanco counties have the highest melanistic deer population in the country.
