Bow Tuning Equipment and Know how

Ok Gents, been thinking for awhile on a hobby I can pick up that won't tye me down to a schedule. So fast forward to this weekend while shooting my bow i start researching on how to tune my bow to it optimal performance.

After some reading I start thinking about what equipment do I need, a press, bow vice etc come to mind.

What else will I need and what are yalls preferences on brand and design?

Bow press for sure, it's hard to the EZ Green press, but look on AT for Monster Pack Pess, 92safari builds a nice press for much less money.

Bow vice, many options, look on AT for spewingjason bow vise, really good product and a fair price. Others would include the Ram vise and the Apple vise. The apple vise is cheap and pretty well built, but it can be a pain to get everything level. The Ram and the spewingjason vise are much better.

Leveling tools would be next, you will need a string and an arrow leveler at least, I like the RS products, plastic but they are inexpensive, the machined set will set you back a good bit of money, but I have never had a problem with the plastic set.

Draw board, make your own, very easy DIY instruction all over for this.

Serving jig, I LOVE the Beiter, but I also have a few Bearpaws that I really like. For serious string building go with the Beiter, for occasionnal string reserving go with the Bearpaw.

Nock and D-loop pliers, Easton multi pliers and the Trufire Universal crimping tool. The Trufire only does brass nocks but it has a handy remover that works great, the Easton will do D-loops and nocks.

Bow squares and bow scales for draw weight.

Scale for weighing arrow components, must show grains.

Fletching jig, I use and LOVE the Arizona EZ fletcher in all it's iterations.

Arrow spinner and arrow squaring device.

Arrow saw, I have had an apple arrow saw for over 20 years and it is still going strong.

Depending on how deep in the weeds you want to get you may need a chronograph and a shim kit (Available from AT).

Of course you will need the full compliment of hand tools and hex wrenches.

But the MOST important tool will be the refrigerator where you keep you beer cold; don't go for the small dorm type either, go full size and keep it stocked!

I got a guy he's got the stuff he knows his s**t and he doesn't charge much when I mess something up.
I don't pull my hair "what's left" out and he makes a buck.
