The question is why record it and post it on the internet? It's not necessary. There's no positive value in that video. Some things are better left kept to one's self.

But it seems the point is truly wasted on some. Maturity amongst men is not a constant value. To each his own. Carry on doing whatever it is you think you must do, and I'll continue on making sure I present my experiences in a form that allows me to be a healthy ambassador of the sport.

No need. I've been hearing this anti threat for so long, you have absolutely nothing new to tell me about this fight. If you honestly believe this thread is going to enhance the anti's agenda, then maybe I need to buy you a beer and explain how the anti agenda really works. It has a WHOLE LOT to do about money and very little to do about animals, just like PETA. I choose not to live paranoid.

I agree. A segment of it does have to do a lot with money. As someone stated earlier, it's not really about the antis. It's more about those that are indifferent. The arena has changed over the last 10 years; 5 years even. The way we communicate and share information has changed drastically. There's recent examples of things like this causing wide spread reactions resulting in unfavorable changes. Will this specific thread make a difference? Doubt it. Will the mindset shown in this thread continue if no one steps up with alternative frame of view? Definitely.

I think it's naive to continue down the same road without pausing to evaluate if you're actually still heading in the right direction.

I thought the same way in the 80's and through the 90's. I did the whole police fellow hunters as to be great stewards of the animals and not give the anti's "anymore" ammo in order to fight our cause. Today, I say SCREW EM!! Maybe it's just that I'm getting older and more un-accepting of all this PC crap, and if we play nice so will they. I'm done with all that BS. They aren't going to change their view anymore than you or I. And NO, they will not change the view of all the non-hunters in the middle.

I understand where you're coming from and how one could become jaded after such a time period. I've not got nearly that many years of experience. My current standpoint is probably much like yours 20 years ago; I just feel there's no harm in being the best ambassadors we can be. I don't really expect that by doing so I will change the opinion of many. The best comparison I can draw is picking up others' trash when I'm out in nature. I don't believe for a second that me picking up trash is going to change the actions of the people that put it there, but it will show that there are outdoorsmen that care.

I literally did not see one "lol" in any of your posts. Might want to go back and re-read. I'm not here to attack anyone's character. Thanks for your insight into what it's like to be around me though. Appreciate it.
