    Why is it that.......?

Why is that when you are looking to stack some does up opening weekend you only see bucks?

This morning I had 4 bucks in front of me from 10-20 yards. This evening I had 5 bucks munching on corn about 45 minutes before dark right in front of me. At dark thirty 2 does and a young basket rack came to feed but the bigger bucks always kept them from getting even close for a shot.

What a frustrating day, it just didn't go as I planned in my mind.

    Rant over, there's always tomorrow.

At my feeders, the bucks wont let them in the pen.
Does seem to avoid them most the time.

That's a real first world problem right there...

Seriously, I never plan to kill a doe in the early season, I just don't see the point in it when the season is so long. And, like you if I planned to kill a doe Murphy would throw every law in the book at me to ensure it didn't happen.

Wouldn't it make more sense to get the does as early as possible before they are bred, just sayin.....

I have limited time to hunt and want some does to grind into burger for the next year to come. Would rather get it done asap. In a one buck county and while we don't have trophy genetics I am picky on what gets whacked. Haven't taken a buck with a bow in 5 years.

I took some frustration out about an hour ago on these little fella's.
