Getting busted Hogs vs. Deer

Which one is more sensitive to smell? I've always thought dogs were worse than deer. But this morning I had a hog about 15 yards from the pop up. Later 2 bucks came from the same direction as the hog. Got to 50 yards & one stuck his nose in the air. They wouldnt come farther and eventually walked off.
