So I believe my transmission input shaft seal went out. 90 F350 7.3idi non turbo 4E0D transmission. We were rolling around and just seen a huge cloud of smoke and then losss of power. Motor would rev but no go go. Looked under and tranny fluid coming out where it mates the motor. Added some fluid and fired it up but it's leaking out pretty good. Truck is located between Menard and Eldorado it will need to be towed to a mechanic. Can anyone recommend a place close?

The guy I spoke with on the phone was really nice. I actually called on their after hours number. He said don't worry we will get you fixed right up. The repair is honestly something I would tackle at my house but 2 1/2 hrs from home makes it really difficult. I will update y'all when it's fixed and let you know how it went for me. Just for thoughts, my dad had a 94' for some reason it would get hot and dump Transmittion fluid. It wasn't a deal more of a relief. Maybe that's all it is.Comment
