Opener story time

I slowly sneak to my stand and climb up the tree, secure my harness and set all my stuff. So here I am sitting in tree, sun rising birds chirping, dew falling and i sit and relax, all of a sudden a dove decides it wants to try to land on my face. I flail my arms from the impending collision and he flairs and feathers fly everywhere and he barely missed me. That'll wake you up in a tree in the morning!

I missed a doe with my long bow. Twice

So yesterday I sat in my pop up to hopefully shoot a pig and upon arrival I found that a rat had turned my pop up into his very own giant rat nest. So I clear d out all of the brush and trash. This morning this is what it looked like. He was still remodeling while I was hunting and I had to bump the blind to scare him away for the time being.

Feeder battery decided to go out this week

Feeder plugged up so I didn't throw. Maybe better luck this evening

Man I hate that about the feeders, mine did that about two weeks ago. A buddy of mine told me he had a squirrel try to climb on him 3 times.

Found out yesterday afternoon my feeder battery came disconnected so it hasn't thrown in a week...

Just wait until one fills it 3/4 full... I didn't realize that we had that many sticks on the ranch!!!!!!!!!

Woke up at 450, showered, had a cup of coffee and snack and headed out the door to the truck, only to find myself in my work parking lot about 30 minutes later. Should be able to hunt Monday Tuesday and Wednesday though.
