At age 76, the pulse still races!

My Dad came up last night to hunt through Saturday afternoon. He didn't see much this AM and left for the only box blind on my place at 2 PM this afternoon. He had not settled in the stand and saw a couple of does. He looked directly out in the front and this 8 pt was standing there. He put a .30 caliber round through him from his Savage Model 99 Lever. I was there assisting and taking photos at about 2:30. Congrats Dad.

Very cool, Bill! I hope my dad still has that fever when he gets older.

            Yeehaa!

            Congrats.

My dad turned 76 on the 11th. He hasn't whitetail hunted since the 1962. It's our goal to get him out in the field for some good ole Iowa fatties next year. He'll be out of his mind for the hunt if I can get it set up. Our family farm is chocker block full of whitetail. The surrounding area farmers can't remove enough of them.

My cousin fletched a 200"+ on Sunday. Too bad I wasn't out there this year.
