I Need A Part For My Dad's Old Bow!

My dad has had this bow for 10 years or so, and the screw in adapter for the stabilizer has gotten lost, leaving the hole bigger than std stabilizer threads. If anyone has one of these lying around, or knows where I can get one, please let me know.

Go to a machinist and have him build you one!

      Try helix coils.

Can you tell us what size those threads are? They look like 1/2-13. And what size is the stabilizer thread?

                Stab threads are 5/16 x 24 I believe.

You should be able to go to a local hardware store and buy a bushing that would work.

If it were mine, I would use a thread insert and be done with it.

Do you know what size the thread in the riser is? If I can get that info, I can make you one next week at work.

I'll bet you it is still on the end of a stabilizer somewhere. Check the end of the stabilizer he used to shoot, maybe it's there; as a rule they don't just unscrew themselves and fall out.

Otherwise, take these guys up on the offer to build one for you; probably your best option, unless Fishindude has one laying around.

If it's a Bear, you can call them and they will send you one for free. I bought a demo Bear Truth II off EBay some years back and my adapter was missing. Called bear and they sent me one within 10 days. Give that a try.
