Caught this cool hog nose !!!!

Cleaning up and shredding around the creek today a caught 3 of these lovely critters. After looking at the TBH snake id bank I determined it's a hog nose ..... Or a broad banded water snake

Yep, I killed one of those this week. Wife, being a morning person was walking right at daybreak and comes flying in to wake up her dead to the world husband screaming "Snake! Kyle (not Kyle Hays) get a gun and come kill it!" I fly out of bed, grab a shotgun and blow this "water moccasin", since we live on the lake, into several pieces. I told her, after I got the sleep out of my eyes, that I shouldn't have killed it. She disagreed.

Like those hog nose those are the coolest snakes, every time I find one I can't help but play with it, like a kid with a new toy.
