    Shooting woes

The last several days Ive been shooting a lot getting ready for Saturday. My shots arent bad but theyre not as nice & accurate as I want & like I know I can shoot. Been shooting more than usual. Could I just be fatigued? I hope so. Thinking about taking tomorrow off from shooting rest but a part of me wants to get it honed just right. Maybe its in my head. Thoughts?

That's what happens to me when I shoot a lot. I like to throttle back and take my time and make sure I do everything in my routine right. Less shots, but better quality.

That's happened to me the last two years so I've cut back considerably opting to concentrate on making a few really quality shots when I do practice.

I want to stay in good form all season with a January hunt to the Daughtry so I'm taking it easy.

if you over think it you will over think it on Sat. Morning. Confidence and a well tuned bow put arrows in the boiler room. If your first shot of the day is in the kill zone that's what matters.

Shoot one arrow. Wait 20-30 minutes and repeat. Concentrate on that one shot, deer don't give you time to warm up.

              Shooting to much
Shoot 1-5 every couple day ( if that much )from now until end of the season

I've been shooting about 20 quality shots a day. Then put it up, before bad habits creep in. Suck, because since aj cured my target panic I love shooting again, but I know it's for the best

I went thru the same thing last week. I had been shooting lots of arrows every evening and honestly was getting cocky with the new bow. Then last week I started spraying a few. Took a couple of days off because of work and stuff. I shot my best 40 yard group of the year yesterday with the first 5 arrows. Shot a few more times and then put it away. I'm ready.

very common, helped a guy this morning with that very problem, my son has finally figured his own fatigue problem this eve, and just put his bow down, me I have shot maybe 12-15 arrows this week, none last week maybe 20 the week before.... only reason I shot this week is because I wanted to try some new black eagle renegade arrows to see how they compared to may axis and acc,,, about 30 grains heavier but dead on at 30 yards,,, so I am good to go, will not shoot tomorrow or Friday at all,,, because I know the bow is dialed in, am hitting were i'm shooting , I will play with the range finder the next two days estimating and ranging..

Once a week I'll get within a couple of yards to the target and shoot 4-5 arrows with my eyes closed, just concentrating on form. Try it, it does help.

I'm shooting less, but I'm more accurate than in prior years. In my case, I'm concentrating more on the shots and not slinging arrows down range like I have in prior years.
