Engine is bad. Will need a new one. But it's a 2013 and the price is cheap

What happen to it that it needs a new engine? A 2013 with a failed engine I'd be very nervous about that purchase. Unless it was abused in some way to cause the failure

From Polaris I would expect $5-7k for a new engine.

Only reason I see to go diesel over a Polaris gas motor is if you run farm diesel. Unless you just like going slow.

With that information, locate an engine and see what your into money wise. It's too late once you buy the thing.

Plenty of good rangers for sale for the money you will put in that one for a new engine.

It was run low on oil. The engine is trashed. But I can buy it as is for $1500.00

Do you have to go back with the diesel motor? I'd be seeing what it would take to just swap it out and put in a gas motor. Good luck

I would buy a used gas ranger before I did that I think.. You can find good used ones at a good price if you keep an eye out.. I bought a 2011 crew 800 with 150 hours for 7k about a year ago, seemed like a good price to me.. My cousin bought a 2010 single cab 165 hours with full cab and doors, light bar, winch, aftermarket wheels/tires, tool box, bumpers, reverse lights, pro box roof with radio for $7500 I'm sure people have paid more and less for something like that.. I think the only extras mine had on it at the time was wind shield and metal roof, when you buy one id consider what extras it has because it gets expensive to add stuff.. I've put about $800 of stuff on and need to do about $1500-$2000 to get all the stuff I want..
