    Last week in Colorado....

    Got back in Monday evening from a week in Colorado on vacation. Flew into Denver, headed up to RMNP the first day and then headed down to the Breckenridge area. Left from there and headed down to Gunnison, looped up through Carbondale and into Aspen. Then headed over towards Leadville and eventually ended up back in Breck. We could not have timed it better for weather and fall colors. Fished a little, saw a lot, and even did a 14 mile bike ride. Coming home always is hard. One day, I shall live there......

              Breckenridge is a beautiful town. We stayed there 10 days this summer to escape some of the texas heat. Stayed up in Boreas Pass around 10,500 feet.

              Never did see any elk but the mulies were everywhere. Temps in the daytime were 75 dropping down to mid 40's at night.
              If i can afford it, i would like to live in Colorado myself one of these days. So much to do and see for an outdoorsman.

              We tried going toward Carbondale and Aspen but there was a rock slide and the interstate was shut down for 3 days. Maybe next year

                      Over 400 ft. Deep, and gin clear water.
