It's a '13 800 efi. Been noticing it takes about 5 seconds to start the last couple of days. It usually fires right off. Then today it died out in the pasture and would not start. i'm thinking fuel pump. Any ideas?
Could be, check fuses and try to feel the pump if its running when the key is turned on. Probably have to bring it in and get hooked to a computer to read any codes
I had a friend that had a problem with a vacuum lock forming on the fuel like when it warmed up. It would start sputtering and then die. It would have to cool down before it would start. He would lift the seat to speed up the cooling and there would be a heavy gasoline smell.
Had a 2011 do the same thing. High pressure fuel pump. They ended up buying it back. Initially they said to bleed the fuel rail but be careful it doesn't catch fire. I said " wrong"
Dropped off my 2010 500 crew today. It will die after it starts getting warm from driving around. If you let it sit awhile, it restarts. This is the second time this has happened. Unfortunately, I don't know what they fixed the first time to make it run.
