    Rage ?

I have never used mechanical broadheads before. I have always used Muzzy and nothing else. The other night I came accross a deal on some hypodermic 100 gr at Academy. $12.73 didn't sound bad to me.

I was woundering if there is anything I need to know about care and maintenance on these. I have heard that mechanicals aren't good for hogs but have also seen multiple pics of the aftermath. I'm not going to start the season off with them since I have never used the before.

Great broadheads when set up correctly and fly like field tips.

A lot of people may claim they aren't worth anything but I will say I have shot a decent number of deer with them and haven't lost one yet. This year I will be shooting the new hypodermic +p broadheads. Make sure they are set correctly and enjoy.

I shoot all of my deer and pigs with them.... They work... They fly true no matter what. I have purposely shot them, open, bent blade , no o-ring, not screwed in, and even with knock off replacement blades. Flies the same as field tips...

It was the only one there or I would have bought two of them.

I shoot 99% of my animals with them, I'd buy as many as I could for that price.

To put the collar on correctly, just be sure the blade is on the meat of the tab and not the cut out. Instructions are included

Shot 6 animals so far with Rage Broadheads and the furthest one has made it was about 30 YDs. It is a VERY GOOD broadhead in my opinion.

Thanks guys. Last thing I want to do is wound an animal because I didn't do it right.

I don't like mech. heads in general, but I got to say we tried the hypos and our blood trails were way better and shorter then before. We though it was a fluke but we still shoot them from time to time and if seems to hold true. I don't know if I am old school or what but I have a hard time not shooting a fixed head. But again to your question, yes they work, and they seem to do it well.

I have been doing it the other way. Was told deployment was more dependable. Guess I should have read them for myself. Heck it's even printed on the collar. I've gotten lucky so far.

Yeah I'd say your lucky [emoji106]. But hey, if it works it works.... This is from their site:
Shock collars are designed to break upon impact and will need to be replaced after each shot. Blades should rest on the solid portion of the shock collar, not in the cuts. Inspect the shock collar for any damage prior to use to ensure proper function.

I have tried to put the blades in the slots, thinking the same thing. But I couldn't keep them closed
