Ranger help! Steering

The other day my dad loaded up his ranger form the lease. He didn't have a strap to tie it down so he used the winch. Well he sucked it so far down that the suspension was bottomed out. I went to unload it off the trailer and it wouldn't steer. The steering wheel would just spin around and around. It drove if farward a little and it started to turn a little bit but the steering wheel would still just go around. After that to would turn about a 25 yard circle. Any help?

What year is the Ranger? Assuming it's IFS, the only thing to do with both steering and suspension travel is the tie rods, but if that was the problem, the wheel would still only turn so far.

It sounds like the steering linkage broke/ came undone

...or your power steering box is EXTREMELY messed up

2012 and it does have the power steering
