    Arrow question

What size fletchings do you use and why???

I want to buy new arrows to go with my new bow. I have always used xx78 eastons, I want to move to carbon and want to know more about fletchings.

    thanks

I think most people are using the Blazer vanes.

I use 2" Blazers because they look cool and are tougher and last longer.

        4" VaneTec vanes...

        Because.....

If the wings in front are bigger than the wings in back... the front steers...

From my own field test, Blazers steer my bh's better at futher distances.

I like Blazers for a little extra speed but I still shoot 4 in. feathers with my fixed blade heads.

I use the 3 inch Vanetec. They are just as tough as Blazers, they stick better, and are cheaper.

i use 2" Blazers or 2.5" feathers in 3, 4, or 6 fletch configs, i have never had a need or problem shooting short fletches but i am a religious paper tuner.

I glue my blazers. I've thought about trying the Quick Spin heat shrink stuff, but heard they don't last. Haven't tried any wraps yet.

I use Blazers shooting a fixed Broadhead (100gn G-5 striker) at 40 yards and it steers just fine. I like Blazres

I use a 2 inch quickspin. I like the way they make my broadheads perform.

I use 2" blazers on custom Cameron wraps and they stablize my big old snuffers out to 50 yards no problem, but I am a tune freak too with my bow... have just about everything that can move marked with reference marks so I can just "look" at my bow and see if anything's out of whack. The Blazers work surprizingly well for as small as they are, AND they are tough as nails. I almost never have to refletch. BTW, just for reference, I'm shooting Beamans ICS hunters.
