Time to see if Herman is the real deal. There will not be much of a bidding war. If Texas calls its a no brainer for him.

He'll entertain others to sweeten the pot a little but otherwise I agree. Whoever comes in has talent to work with.

Texas doesn't even consider or contact Briles. Not saying Briles is unhirable elsewhere but not 90 miles away. Too much baggage too close. He should look to the Pac12 like the pirate did, they will love his offensive mind.

I want to know who is sending Swoopes in when Texas takes over the ball deep in their end. Is it Gilbert or is CS doing it. Twice in the last 2 games here came in with Texas at their own 5 and ran 2 ineffective runs. Then Buechelle comes in on 3rd and 10 and throws interceptions that lead to r
easy TDs. Everyone knows Swoopes is not going to hand it off no matter what and I believe the last pass he thru was a year ago against OU. If he's so hard to stop way don't they use him at running back when the other 2 get hurt, which seems like every game. Frustrating.

It worked in the first game so they think they have something, it's junior high. I'm tired of seeing the QB rotation unless we're on the 3 punching it in.

LSU won't even contact Briles' agent for an interview

He showed no institutional control over the things that happened under his watch

incredible offensive mind yet he should have handed things a lot differently which is why he's unemployed

in due time Briles will be a HC again, just not next year in Baton Rouge

A few within the TAF brought up AB name, it was shot down quickly by the majority and administration. Agreed he will be a HC, but not sure its in a top tier school his first run back.

Every game left is winnable except maybe bama. If the defense keeps improving it could be winnable. Lsu is an O C and special teams coach away from being a very good team. Yaw Yaw knows he needs to surround himself with good coaches. And, from what I have heard and seen so far he is willing to do so.

They will spank Florida in the swamp. Florida's offensive line is not very good.

I like your confidence.

I'll start to believe a little more if they spank Florida and it's not a typical LSU nail bitter.

I tend to lean this way too, execution needs to continue to improve along with the game plan. Great start last night.

That was fun to watch. Amazing how coaching and a game plan with top talent changes things. Pulling for Coach O'eaux to continue the push.

I think I would rather have coach O instead of Jimbo. I like how Coach O already knows to surround himself with smart assistant coaches. Anyone think if he keeps the job, maybe he brings in Briles as an OC?

Tom Herman is the sexy pick. BUT, Texas is the best job in college football by many accounts. It'll be an interesting thing to see unfold for sure

As great as a coach as Saban is I would not care to see him at Lsu again. I am surely in the minority on that thought. But, I really don't care for him or the way he treats people.

Saban.....nope, I will pass.

I hope CEO wins out and is the new coach at LSU but that's a pipe dream. I would give him a shot of he goes 6-1.

You boys putting way to much stock in your programs! Briles IMO will get one of these jobs mentioned..... Too much money at stake and win at all cost kinda thinking.
