options when there is no cell service

I have traveled across the country but on a recent trip to broken bow ok we did not have cell service the whole time there and im pretty sure it didnt come back until we crossed the red river. We have sprint.

For you guys who have experienced the same lack of service what was your back up communications? Would a cb with a 4mi range suffice for emergencies or something else?

A cell booster might be what you need I don't have a booster but when we go to Broken Bow I have service with At&t. A cb could help you at times.

Another phone from a different provider. First off Sprint is one of the worst as far as overall national coverage. If you have one from Verizon and one from AT&T you are pretty much covered. Still there are places where nothing works. In that case I recommend enjoying the peace and quiet.

Signal boosters are well worth the money.

We have NO service at our place either, we did buy a booster and placed the antenna high enough to get reception. Place multiple broadcast antennas around came to maximize our coverage. Below is the web address, they are located in Houston and very helpful to talk with. Since we also work a lot from camp we got satellite internet and wifi out at camp which also helps with cell phone coverage through the wifi.

Get better cell signal with Wilson Electronics, weBoost, and WilsonPro cell phone signal boosters. Money-back guarantee with installation available

A buddy of mine had a antenna mast mount on the front of his truck for a removable mast. It was around 25 feet tall and he had a cell booster antenna on it.

Switch to ATT or Verizon and add a cell booster if needed after that.

If you have a true emergency, dial 112. Someone will answer.

As far as cell boosters, stick with Wilson. Working in the pipeline industry I would be out in the sticks. They would work most times. I also had two separate phone services. AT&T and Verizon, which helped the most. Some places Verizon would rock and some places AT&T would be the go to.

Never have had Sprint, or any of the pay as you go phones on the road.

Based on what I have read dialing 112 will not result in contact with emergency services. I also don't think it would work if you didn't have service.
