Sick of Excede Internet service, What are my options?

I live west of Lampasas and barely have Verizon 3G phone service. Excede is on and off all the time here and cost is terrible. Are there any other reasonable internet service options available out here in the country? Figured you guys would know. Thanks, ET

Check into internet transmitted via FM signals. The companies that offer this service tend to be local. There is a higher upfront cost typically associated with this type of service.

I live 3 miles southwest of Lampasas, had Excede and now just use Tmobile hotspot wifi. Agree Excede is junk.
The wifi from Tmobile is not too bad.

Looks like Rise Broadband may offer the service I mentioned in your area.

yeah I live in Flatonia and had excede and it sucked it was terrible I got hughes net and don't like then either I think rise broadband is my next

You might look at erf wireless. its bascially wifi on steroids.

Have you checked GVEC.Net? I have their service from a tower towards Welder and very happy with it. They had to set up a dish that looks similar to something like my DirectTV one but I get pretty good speeds for out in the country.

We chunked the exceed, and have Verizon 4g LTE installed internet. It is great.

Stay away from rise if you can. All the companies use the same towers. So not much will change. Can you get att dsl from your phone line. Att handles Netflix wifi etc just fine.
