In a tree in Kansas

Just had a doe standing under me sniffing the tree I'm in. Also have another at 15 yrds. As soon as I can confirm the arent mule deer, one will die!

Well, confirmed they were whitetails, but it was a hair to late when they stepped out of the tree line. It is thick and pretty dark on this creek this morning. Really hate hunting early season up here, but have a ton of work to do. So we figured might as well fill up the freezer with a couple of 200lb doe!

Man I wish they would open up non resident turkey in this unit. We are just a few miles from the dividing line and see a turkey almost every sit and sometimes groups of 50+ birds.

They will, had the farmer put me out a corn pile at the first of the week, so should have plenty of action. Just hoping to get lucky and have a giant stop by for a bite!
