I took my truck in for a weird sound that was emitted when my air conditioner was on in my truck and specifically on high. the more I turned the fan speed up, the louder the sound got. I got online, set a time to take my truck in, Tuesday afternoon at 4pm and called today to see about an update on my truck. I was told that it had not even been looked at yet. Blood immediately began to boil and if I had not been in an elementary school setting, my words to the minion I was put in touch with would have heard much worse, but my 2 TA's I worked with wondered who I was raising my voice at. Long story short, I got the manager of the service dept to call back not only once but 3 times to inform me that at 4pm they were getting my truck in and looking at it that moment. Only time will tell if that is true or not, but I did tell him that truck better be fixed and in my hands on Monday!!!!!
I know dealerships (truck is under warranty) fall behind, but do not KMA and ask me to leave the truck for a couple of days and then not even attempt to look at it for a full 3 days. This definitely ****** me off. If you are not going to look at it for 3 days, I will drive it until you can look at it. I may be old, but did not fall off a pumpkin truck and know my way around a little even if I am getting senile! Tell me the truth and we can get along.
Amazed the Service Mgr called but he did so hopefully things get rolling. After all, I need my truck no later than Wednesday to get it loaded to leave for the lease on Friday afternoon for opening morning.
Rant over!
