    WD40 or duct tape.
One or the other solves 99% of all problems.

My suggestion would be to call in a professional for the work. Find a skunk removal service in your area and let them do their work. I have seen a group called A1 checkmate in Ontario catch the skunk. They do it very professionally.

I had the same thing happen to me put your water hose in the hole he dug and turn it on full stream it may take 10 or 15 mins but he will come out be ready to kill him soon as the head sticks out of the hole. the hole should be full of water and he will be struggling for air kill him quickly

Live trap. I caught two that were living under my house. The first one I was able to move really slowly and pick up the trap and put it in the bed of the truck. The other kept raising his tail so I had to hook a rope on it and run as fast as I could across the land. The second one sprayed the entire time.

Go to Home depot and get a tyvek bunny suit for the removal.

IF you use a live trap, get one of the big ones... the bigger the better... Skunks can be very trap shy on the small traps. Once caught, you can walk up to the trap holding blanket/tarp up to hide your image... I'd suggest cutting a hole in the middle of the covering to look through, and also as you slowly lay it over the trap to cover it, the handle on the trap can be passed through the same hole. you can then just pick it up and take it away to a zafe zone then dispose of it. FYI it is very illegal to relocate it (or any other animal) to land that is not yours, and the penalties can be stiff if you're caught... If it were me, I'd get him away from the house and shoot him with a heart/lung shot... head shots almost always result in him dumping his musk bladder of all its contents...

Get the live trap. And bait with a raw egg. My dad takes a hand held grinder and cuts a small hole in the egg. You will catch skunks, opossums and coons.

Once trapped walk up slowly with a sheet and cover. Pick up trap and give swimming lessons.
The other alternative is to use Tuff Broadhead's method of acetone injection.

You might not want to use the sardines or you will catch some of the barn cats from the neighbors

Unfortunately, Gus is the only dog around and he isn't allowed to roam. Several of the previous dogs were hell on Skunks.

I'm a pro at this. Caught 7 in 7 nights from under my house.

Live trap with a long rope tied to it.
Put a piece of bread with peanut butter on it in trap.
Place trap (during daylight hours) to block where they are entering under the house.
                Go to bed.
Wake up use rope to pull trap with skunk in it out into pasture.
Blast with shot gun in FACE at a safe distance.
                Go to work.
Come home drop dead skunk out of trap.
Repeat this process till they are finished.

Then get some chicken wire or net wire 12 inches wide and stake it down around your house. They will try and dig thru it and move away from the house and will go else where.

This is sort of how I have done it for the past 16 years and I've trapped 35+ in my yard. One rule--if they spray in my yard, they die in my yard! I'm gonna use the black bag from now on--better than walking up and draping a piece of black plastic over the trap and then hauling off.

Abcdj--your shotgun blast to the face method sounds like it would be rough on the trap-or am I reading it wrong?

And, for all who are trapping--dig a small hole and put some of your bait in the hole and set the trap on top with the bait hole under the trigger. This keeps them from coming in, eating the bait and leaving without tripping the trap.

Shotgun blast to the head pretty much shuts em down instantly. No spraying.
