I have a 5083E and it is difficult to get to radiator. Don't know how you cleaned it out but more than likely it is not clean enough. Never had mine overheat but I have not mowed with anything over 10' shredder.

Yep ^^ on our bigger tractor the oil cooler will unpin and slide out that way you can wash out the radiator. But i bet its the screen in the front. If its grassy and theres alot of seed heads they will suck up it to that thing about every hour you have to stop and pull it out and beat it against the tire.

I took a air compressor and blew each individual screen out and kept doing so until it was clean took well over an hour. I'm sure I missed some but it worked a little better after

I would definitely recommend a larger tractor or smaller shredder. Typically, shredder's are rated at 5 hp per foot. You definitely don't want to tear up a nice, new tractor like that. Good luck to you!

I keep on telling my boss that but he is persistent on wanting to do it. I'm just trying to do what I can to keep the tractor running good.

WAY too much mower for that tractor. I have a 60hp and can get it hot shredding with a 7' mower.

You are cooking the hyd system also under powering that shredder. The trans will ovwr heat also and the pto system

Yep. My JD is same size and a I wouldn't pull that large a shredder
