Thanks guys, it was a Grass Carp she weighed 5lb. 12oz and taped in at 26in. It took me a good 15 minutes to ware her out on my 6lb test ultralight. I caught it out of Brays Bayou close to the park and ride at Post Oak and 610. I would have never dreamed of fishing in the cement bayous, glad i gave it a chance. A friend told me about the first annual Carpathon at Willow Water Greenspace in the Bellaire area. I caught her on a ball of hamburger bun big enough to cover a 1/16th oz jighead completely. It was an absolute blast! They'll be doing it again next year to continue raising awareness of the angling opportunities that invasive species provide. Won a Boga 130.
