We had an encounter with a big 5x5 this morning. He was screaming back at us. When we finally got his cows moving towards us we felt a light gust of wind on the back of our necks. Game over. We had been working him for over an hour in a nasty deep canyon called Raspberry. We are headed back out now.

We had a 300 plus inch bull come in this evening. Marty had him briefly at 55 yards but did not have a clear shot.

This is the same bull we were hunting Tuesday night but he has moved about a mile. This is bull that bugles 70-80 times Tuesday. We moved in closer tonight. He bugles, grunts, screams, chuckles, glunks and he is old and smart.

We are going after him again in morning.

We are sitting on a water hole today waiting for our big bull to crank. There were two small bulls and some cows here yesterday on game cam.

It is 44 degrees and misting.
