Deer season
I set a stand on a ridge overlooking a small Creek...every night, a big buck would come down the logging trail to the creek. This deer busted me every night for two weeks. I finally cut a trail to the stand across the top of the ridge, climbed up in my freestanding and waited.
At the bottom of the hollow was a small cluster of cabins, usually empty...except on this evening. A couple, dressed in swim suits began frollicking in the stream at the bottom of the hollow ...eventually, they tired of the swimming, and sure enough...they grabbed their blanket and walked up the log trail toward my stand!
They settled in right below my stand and started getting amorous. Not wanting to witness this, and not wanting to leave, I did the only thing I could...I had a bag of peanut M&ms in my pocket and proceeded to toss them one at a time at the couple.
It took a few minutes and a bunch of candies before they realized that it wasnt a squirrel pelting them with nuts and looked up...the girl claimed I was a pervert, and the guy challenged my manhood and wanted me to come down so he could kick my butt...when they saw was carrying a revolver, the took off for the cabins...my hunt was over for the evening.

I was in a stand on the upper end of a big field along the San Gabriel river. There is a couple trailer houses across the river. One evening I heard some screaming, the extremely painful kind. It went on for about a minute and then I could see some smoke coming up from one of the trailer houses. The smoke changed to flames and the screaming got louder and louder then faded to nothing. Then I could hear the fire trucks coming and the trailer was completely engulfed. The next day I learned a guy in a wheel chair was cooking meth and caught the house on fire and burned alive.

When my wife and I were dating she took me out to her grandfathers place in Junction. I was granted permission to go to the very far back stand on the property. As I was walking along down the road, I rounded a corner and there in the road stood this very dark colored deer. It screamed at me.......I screamed at it and I abruptly went back to the cabin. I had no idea what a Sika was at the time but I figured it out back at the cabin and they proceeded to belly laugh at me for several minutes.

Just after shooting light I hear his Harley fire up and start heading my direction. He slowly creeps down the road to my truck which is about 300 yards from me. Turns off the bike and I can hear him messing around my truck. Fires the bike back up and comes on down to my pop up and parks between me and the feeder in nothing but his whitey tighties and boots. Obviously I am furious by this point. Tells me " saw your truck so I figured it was you..... You seeing anything?" I replied " Not f'n anymore". He smiles starts his bike back up and says ok well....be careful and drives off. Was too ****** to hunt anymore so got in my truck and headed home. Had my dad kick him off the place the following weekend.
Haha what a dumb *****

Was hunting a bow ranch near San Antonio years ago with a buddy. We we driving through the ranch and had a buck trot in front of the truck with his head tilted straight back and my buddy yelled *** is that? We jumped out and started stalking. Got close and spotted him right as he put his head down to walk and had an arrow sticking out of him behind his ear!!! No lie! My buddy put an arrow through him and finished him off. He was only about 13.5 inches wide and was legal. Buddy shot him to put him out of his misery. Went back to camp and the guy running the lease made him count that as his buck for the weekend!!! It was obvious the buck had the arrow in him for at least two weeks. Needless to say, we never went back to that ranch.

I was ground hunting in Ohio a few years back with my muzzleloader in a thicket waiting for any deer to come down a trail. Well the deer came in behind me and circled to my right only about 10 yards out. I had the gun pointed to my left across my lap. I just froze and turned my head very lowly toward the deer. She was broadside from me and didn't see me at all. I began to move my gun off my lap and when I got it about halfway up and across she bedded down. I quickly put the sights on her and was about to pull the trigger and she fell over dead. No arrow in her, no bullet hole, no bruises or blood from vehicle. You should have been back at the house when I got back. I called the game warden and he allowed me to tag it. Then I waited until 20 minutes after dark and walked the short distance to the barn dragging a deer that no one heard me shoot. It was relentless assuming about how I killed it.

This property was loaded with rabbits, and I got to watch a fox on 2 separate hunts sneak from brush pile to brush pile hunting rabbits. Never saw him make a kill but did see some pretty awesome chases. I probably wouldn't kill a fox anyways, but I surely wasn't gonna shoot this guy because it was so much fun watching him hunt all day.
Later in the day my biggest buck to that date comes out and I shoot him Near the creek bed. He runs through the creek bed and out of sight. When I get out to find the deer, I cross through the creek and see the fox standing there looking at me. He turns nonchalantly and starts walking away. I follow him for maybe 50 ids and he sits down right next to my deer. Like my own wild blood tracking fox! He sat for a while and I got some picture of him. I needed to go get the rhino to get the deer and he was still sitting there. I verbally told him "I don't want to shoot you, but if I come back and your gnawing on my deer you're dead". When I came back with the rhino he was gone not having touched anything.

Was going to hunt a elevated box stand that was 18'. Had no landing so one climbed the ladder, opened the door and climbed on in. Pain in the butt with a slinger rifle and pack. I opened the door and a couple of flying squirrels came barreling out. One hit me in chest. Talk about sharting, wow!
Also had a member that was new to hunting. He always had a big story after each hunt bout something he had seen...big bucks, hogs as big as a vw, cane break rattler 8-9' long. Got him a couple of times. Once he tagged out for a stand the afternoon before and I went out and put 5 plastic pink flamingoes out bout 60-70 yards in cane out in front of his stand. Another time put out 6 pair of reflective tacks close together on trees at the edge of the food plot bout a foot off the ground so when he shined his light it would look like eyes. He was a good sport about it all.

On our previous lease I was hunting my favorite stand that sat near a county road. It got dark and then started raining as I was headed back to my 4 wheeler. Decided to try and get back to camp before it got any worse so I jumped on and took off down the county road. As I rounded the final corner before turning into the camp road a couple of solid black bull calves spooked and jumped out in the road, right in front of me. It's pitch dark and raining hard now. I barely saw the calf in time to turn the handlebars and collided solidly about mid-body. The impact yanked my handlebars and one side hit me square in the sternum as I exited the vehicle at a high rate of speed. I flew over the top of the 4 wheeler and more or less head first into the flank of the stupid bull. The overall impact knocked him down and sent me to the now muddy road chest first. I belly flopped and it knocked the rest of the breath out of me. Apparently it knocked the breath out of the bull calf too and we both laid there in the pouring rain and the mud and gasped for breath. After some time I was finally able to stagger to my feet and get back to the 4 wheeler which was now on its side. I struggled and finally got it right side up and confirmed that my bow was still on the front, undamaged. Me and the bull had some words and I limped along back on into camp, covered in mud and fresh cow crap. My sternum hurt for a month after that. Never was sure what happened to the bull calf.

State: Texas
County: Wood
Date: December 2008
Time: 5:30am way before sunlight
Temp: 18 degrees
I was gun hunting back then and decided to hunt our most remote box blind in the "swamp". Its about a 3 mile walk in the middle of nowhere on our land. I mean no one lives nearby. I finally get to my box blind after walking on seriously hard frozen ground and opened the door. I climbed in and settled down.
About 10 minutes later I see something running across the small opening and head towards me. It's a naked man, running like the devil himself was after him. He headed straight to my box blind and jerked open the door to find me and a 30-06 pointed at him...
He slammed the door and took off back the way he came from. No idea who he was or what he was doing naked in that weather at that time of day.

Sounds like meth or pcp to me. Those drugs make people do some crazy stuff.
