I know the feeling all to well. The city is getting closer by the day to me. I paid $80k for my house 6 years ago and the same house as mine just sold a little while back for $139k. I'm going to try to hold out another 5 years.

Well I have been praying and wrestling with whether or not to head up to Laneville and get out of the middle of this crazy growth. I've felt even more and more pulled to get my family out of this area over the last few months since I started this thread. My wife and I had our first serious detailed talk about a potential move today. She seems to be on the same page as me on this which surprised me. We are just in the beginning stages of getting serious about this but continued prayers are appreciated. She is a teacher under contract for the remainder of the school year so nothing is going to happen until next summer if we decide to pull the trigger. Leaving our church and the Youth Ministry there would be one of the hardest things ever for me. I'm just going to continue to pray about this...

I've literally NEVER lived anywhere else except for during college. I raise my kids in the same town, Porter, that my grandparents raised my parents and my parents raised me. Jen and I built a house on the lake last year and we'll be gone before you know it. This just isn't the same place that I grew up in and I can't wait to get out.

Thanks Curt. It definitely isn't the same place. It's gonna be a tough decision for us but I think I already know what I need to do. Just having a hard time with it I guess. Yall will love it up on the lake.
