I like to think they are gaining momentum! The Texas D was running a ton of freshmen in the second half with as many as 6-7 at one time and they only gave up 73 yards on 29 plays. I like to think that resting guys will pay off big with the first road game being this week at Cal before getting a bye and then heading to Stillwater.

Hogs get a easier opponent this week, get the backups some playing time, rest some starters prior to Arlington 24 September.

Texas is much improved, there's no doubt about that. But I find it hard to believe that a team that had as many issues as they did last year can turn into a cold blooded killer over one offseason. This team will have a couple of bumps in the road. Shane will have a bad game or two.

I like the setup of the schedule though. Rested some guys this week before the first road game. So hopefully everyone is chomping at the bit to play physical football on Saturday. Then a rest week before going to OkState.

Key to this Cal game is not letting them hang around. Come out and get a good lead early. Control the lines of scrimmage and it's game over.

I was impressed with Arky. Showed some grit in that game.

The OL is going to be the weak link, quality depth is not established as seen on Saturday. Williams out at LT is a killer. They got killed on the left side on Saturday night without the sophomore stud and anchor of the OL.

Through basically the same teams from 2015 the scoring average is up to 12th in the nation at 45.5 ppg versus 26.4 at this point last year. Keeping us hungry for more.

Completely agree with this. As we have won a game most didn't think we had a chance to, we will lose a game we shouldn't or could have won. Very young group and youth is prone to mistakes.

If Texas gets Williams and at least one other lineman back this week, they win big. If not, then it will be close but, I think the 'Horns still win.

They follow that up with a win at OSU and then lay a big egg against the Sooners. Youth and inexperience finally catches up with them.

The biggest test for all of Texas freshman will be their first long road trip and how they handle that.

                      My poor frogs got gigged.

                      Go Frogs!

I am in this camp too. I still don't trust this team that they have fully turned the corner and I didn't expect to this year. It is exciting to enjoy the ride with the young guns and see them continue to develop. Texas fans have been waiting on this and its heading in the right direction.

The 9:30 kick is brutal. This is my #1 reason I never want to see Texas in the Pac 12 unless you get a Central Time Zone pod with the Arizona Schools were we have 1 late game a year.

I am still so very disappointed about Tech's D. My stomach muscles are sore from the constant dry heaving on Sat. night. I am praying this week's practice is productive and we get it turned around. It aint easy being a Tech fan...but I believe!
