Lets talk Offshore boats

I am interested in potentially buying a boat for offshore fishing. I have been on many trips in a 26' Catamaran with twin 250's over the past year and half and pretty much hooked on it. I dont have an unlimited budget so price and ability are important. Any suggestions for routes to go to get a boat IE...buy old and rebuild? buy a good used, fix whats needed? Buy new?.
I need recommendations for brands of boats and basically anything that will help put some direction on this. I already prefer the center console setup and really prefer dual motors, I like the Cats but in all fairness I have not been any other style off shore. I would like to have min. 60-100 mile range

I would love to get an offshore boat but right now my ole lady won't let.

Any of the brands that have a sharp entry and keep a good dead rise to the rear. Contender, yellowfin, sea vee, pursuit. I wouldn't buy anything 2 stoke. Close to 30ft too ran a 25ft for years on sporty days we took a pounding the 34ft now takes it a lot better.
