    Making boots waterproof again?

I've had these Danners for 5-6 years and they are still in good shape but a long walk through wet grass this morning tells me they are no longer waterproof - my feet are soaked. I've never had much luck using any of the sprays - Scotchguard, Camp Dry, etc. I'm thinking once the waterproof liner fails you are SOL. Any suggestions?

I would try two coats of camp dry before you toss them, or make them dry day only boots

I'd try rustoleum never wet. But yeah if they arent leather so you can use sno-seal or beeswax based sealers, they are pretty much done for.

Did you try the Danner waterproofing balm?

Yeah, i was thinking of the Danner gel. Had the same problem with my Pronghorns and two generous coatings solved it. I apply a coat at the beginning of the season to all my boots that have leather.

I recently applied 3 coats of the silicone type spray to my snake boots and it worked very well. I did a heavy spray then let completely dry 3 times.

I was not aware of the Danner gel - I will give it a try. Thanks!

I apply this stuff to my boot yearly.
My boots have been water proof for 15+ years.
                    Good luck.

Does SnoSeal work on Cordura? I thought it was only for leather

Sno Seal will work, but you're killing the breathability of the Goretex liner. I'd use the danner balm on the leather and camp dry on the cordura
