We have a Samsung front load dryer, one of the newer ones with the steam feature. I had some clothes to dry before work tonight and just noticed it was still running (should have finished about 30 minutes ago) so I went in to turn it off and it was already off
but the drum was still turning. Powered it on and attempted to start then pause the drying cycle to no avail so shut it back off and it powered down but the drum kept spinning. Opened the door and the safety switch worked as it should have, clothes were dry but no longer warm so I guess the cycle finished and the heat had stopped but the drum never did. Closed the door and it went back to spinning (all while powered off) so I finally unplugged it from the wall. Plugged it back in and back to spinning it went, so I'm leaving it unplugged for the night since I don't have time to mess with it before work. Tried a quick google search and all results went to thermostats and door switches, nobody else seemed to experience the dryer spinning while completely powered down. Any advice?
